MEP Continues to Grow A Team of Talent


MEP Associates is pleased to introduce our newest team members located in our Twin Cities Location.

BRIAN URLAUB
Director of Geothermal Operations
EDUCATION: Chippewa Valley Technical College (Eau Claire, WI)
Brian has spent the past 20 years in the geothermal industry in positions ranging from installation and servicing to design and sales. In his new role at MEP, Brian will work with clients across the United States, developing solutions that help them attain their goals for reducing their carbon footprint and energy costs.

HEATHER BOYKO, PE
Electrical Engineer at MEP Associates, LLC
EDUCATION: University of Washington (Seattle, WA)
Heather is experienced in power distribution and lighting design for healthcare, higher education, commercial, and laboratory facilities. Her work emphasizes clear communication and multi-discipline collaboration to effectively manage resources and deliver high-quality designs. Heather is excited about the diversity of projects she can work on at MEP and the opportunity to connect with clients and partners across the firm’s markets.

ELAINE SAMOLYTZ
Marketing & Communications Manager
EDUCATION: St. Olaf College (Northfield, MN)
Elaine manages MEP’s marketing and communications efforts. She leads the development of print and digital content and supports the firm’s project pursuits in collaboration with technical staff at all levels. As a non-engineer, Elaine finds great satisfaction celebrating engineers’ accomplishments in ways they wouldn’t.

CHRIS O'DONNELL
Mechanical EIT
EDUCATION: Montana State University (Bozeman, MT)
Chris moved to the Twin Cities to begin his engineering career at MEP Associates. He recently received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with an Aerospace Minor from Montana State University in Bozeman. Chris was involved in sustainability efforts on the MSU campus and was a mentor for The Green Program.

JOHN GUNDERSON, CPD
Plumbing Designer
EDUCATION: Dunwoody College of Technology (Minneapolis, MN)
Johns career and experience in plumbing design began at Ellerbe, learning medical gas system designs for clients such as Mayo and other health care clients around the country. John has been actively been involved with ASPE (American Society of Plumbing Engineers) and was a recent president of the MN chapter (2014-2016).
