The 18,150 SF, two-story addition was built near the main entrance of the existing medical center, while the existing facility will be remodeled. The goal of the project was to increase space for family members to be closer to patients, including seven private exam rooms, a triage room for assessing the level of emergency care needed, a suite to specifically handle trauma cases, a procedure room, a two-bay drive-through ambulance garage, and an expanded lobby with main entrance to ED, Hospital and Clinic.

Energy Saving features:
  • Selected plumbing fixtures were designed to reduce water consumption by 20%
  • Automatic lighting was utilized in all areas not occupied 24/7
  • Variable Volume Air Handling equipment reduces the air flow to the Trauma and Procedure Rooms by 50% when unoccupied
  • Energy Recovery Units extract energy from exhaust air that would normally be wasted
